The beach is open 365 days a year with guarded swimming from 9am–4:45pm (extended to 6:45pm during daylight saving time). There are restrooms, showers, picnic shelters, grills, and a playground right on the beach - all free.

There's even a "fish eye" cutout at the end where you can look straight down into the water below. One of the best spots in Pompano — and it costs nothing.

🐟 3. Fish the Intracoastal Seawalls
You don't need a boat to fish in Pompano. The seawalls along the Intracoastal Waterway are accessible all over the city and are loaded with snook, tarpon, and snapper - especially at night under the bridge lights. It's free to access, the scenery is great, and you never know what's going to bite. Just bring a rod, some bait, and a Florida fishing license if you're 16 or older.
⚠️ Before you cast, take a few minutes to check current Florida fishing regulations — size limits, bag limits, and seasonal closures apply to species like snook and tarpon. It's free to look up and saves you a headache on the water.
